Saturday morning Devon was scheduled to work at 10:15. Saturday morning there was an inch of snow everywhere - most importantly it covered the roads!
Where are the snow plows. Devon got up at 9:00 to get ready (so did Robert). As the time got closer it was evident that the plows were not going to come in time to make the roads safer for Devon to drive. At this time I called him down to discuss our options.
1) I drive him to work and pick him up - since I was going to have to take Robert to his game at the same time and both locations were close to each other, or
2) He follow me and have the opportunity to feel what it is like to drive in the snow by himself.
He decided it would be best for him to gain experience driving in the snow. UGH! Here goes faith and hope!
At 9:30 we loaded up the two cars. I went first - setting the speed and testing the road condition. I thought the roads would be better once we got out of the subdivision, but they were a mess! Snow in the subdivison, slush outside which lead to very slippery roads. Devon handled it all very well. We even drove on the interstate. I was so proud of his safe driving!
