I really wanted to go to bed early but for some reason my mind and my eyes were not ready. I was reading The Kite Runner in bed thinking it would help me get tired, but it had the opposite effect. Just as I was thinking I really need to just turn off the light and go to sleep (around 12:30 am) I heard my phone buzz alerting me that I had just received a text. Who would text me so late…maybe Jessica. I thought, "I'd better check."
It was Jessica asking if I was still awake. So I answered and was able to help her with some English homework via texting. It's amazing! I felt so close and was thrilled to have the opportunity to still be a part of her life even though I am 2000 miles away. I'm so glad she felt she could ask me.
It was worth being up late! Thank you Heavenly Father, you knew more than I.
