Robert and Marissa Run at the SOMS Tune UP!

10/2 While Betsy and Devon were in Hilliard, OH for a CC race, Mark took Robert and Marissa to Centerfield, KY for the SOMS Tune up. It is the same course as the EOMS one from last year.

It was a near perfect day with temperatures just right. The first race was the girls:

Marissa got off to a good start and just kept going!

Marissa on the home stretch! Little did she know at the time that she only had 11 people in front of her.

Marissa came in 12th overall with a fantastic time of 18:12.

The boys raced right after the girls.

Robert had an amazing race. His best yet!!! It was his first 4K. He started off fast and kept his place. He finished the race in 17:01. He came in 17th overall.

Both Robert and Marissa earned medals for being in the top 25.

So proud of both of them for the extreme effort!
