Next on the agenda - get Robert to his 9:00 (has to be there by 8:15) game. Bright and early in the morning his team played GREAT! Robert played defense (again) the entire game, but he earned an assist on the first goal of the game by passing the ball to Ben for a goal. It was beautiful. Robert has great passes - it's one of the things I love watching him do. The ball seems to almost always go exactly where it is supposed to go.

Ready to take on #22 in a one on one
At half time the score was 3-1, at the end of the game we won 6-1. It was a fantastic game. Now they only have one more game left in the season and it starts at 12:00 today - same team.In between games Robert got to hang with the coach and his son Harrison while I went to see Marissa run in her race. I got back just in time for the game to start.
The second game didn't go as well. Ben tried to be a hot-dog and score on every play...he was stripped of the ball or it would take an extra hop. We were up 2-1 at half, but then had a penalty in the box 2-2, and then a long ball and a big guy scored one more 3-2. There was still 20 minutes left in the game, but the team just didn't play together like they did in the first game.
The season finished with
6 wins, 2 ties, 2 losses
THAT'S FANTASTIC.
Most of the players on this team are U12 players. This is a great accomplishment because they took second place in the division and more importantly the team will move up to the Silver Division in the spring.
We have one more tournament and then Fall Soccer is over.
