It's been approximately 3 weeks since Betsy's back really started hurting. It was so strange and out of "nowhere", but we eventually determined that she pulled her back trying to help Marissa into the house after her oral surgery (getting her wisdom teeth out).
Betsy has been taking Aleve every day and "taking it easy" for a while. She rested MOST of spring break, and even took the Monday following spring break off, but was already scheduled for a job on Tuesday so she "managed" to make it through the day. It was a long week, but we made it through.
Monday, April 14 was the first day Betsy has been able to do any physical activity. She ran one mile and walked one mile to stretch out afterwards and keep the muscles from tightening up and keep flexibility.
It was a great run - I didn't feel pain while I ran, just afterwards - hence the walk. However, the VERY good news is that it felt good the next day and the day after that!
Betsy is very hopeful that her back is returning to 100%.
