Devon & Robert Attend Patriot Games

Friday right after XC practice, Devon hurried to get ready for the Patriot Games.  Betsy had helped them pack up the night before because she knew we would be in a huge time crunch to get to the church by 5:45 if Devon doesn't get home from XC until 5:30 and he'd still want a shower.

It's only an overnight campout so all the boys need are to come in uniform and bring their Camelpaks, Scout Manuals, First Aid kits, sleeping bags, tent, air pillows, flashlights, gloves, layers of clothing for change in weather, etc.

The weather was perfect.  It would get cold at night, but they both have 0 degree sleeping bags.

The Patriot Games is held at Fort Knox, KY every 5 years!  It's a very special event.  Robert and Devon have planned on attending this since before school got out in May, however, as things go … Devon has a mandatory field trip on Saturday to see "A Long Day's Journey" at Actor's Theater and Robert has a "friendly" against SKY, and a XC meet at the Dragon Invitational.  It's a shame they couldn't stay for all the activities at the Patriot Games, but Betsy had to pick them up on Saturday around 11:00 am to get them to their other obligations.
