Robert's Birthday Party

On Saturday March 1, 2014 we celebrated Robert's birthday with several of his friends.

5:30 pm - everyone is getting excited.  Friends started to show up at the house around 5:15 - Aaron, Blake, Ryan, Zach, Trevor,  … okay … that's the first car load and off we go so we can be on time.

Ben and Max show up a little later but Reece never showed!  We had invited Brandon but he went to SLC for a wedding.  Mark brings them - they are just a little bit behind us.

All in all we had Robert Lowe, Ryan Danehy, Blake Reitnauer, Wilton Stone, Nathan Clark, Ben O'Brien, Max Miller, Trevor Underwood, Zach Fisher, and Aaron Green.  I think Aaron Green has been at every one of Robert's parties since he was 3 years old.  They are best friends.

5:50 - Arrive at SKY ZONE!

We are supposed to jump from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.  The person checking us in was inexperienced and cost us 15 minutes.  We didn't start jumping until 6:15.  Betsy talked to the manager.  He said he couldn't extend our time but he could give us a complimentary pass.  We accepted the offer but we were a bit disappointed because we wanted this to be awesome for the boys.

The Sky Zone is awesome - it is a trampoline indoor park - there is a lot to do.  The boys played trampoline dodge ball, trampoline basketball, trampoline into a pit of foam cubes, and free bounce on trampolines.  I think they all had a great time.  They didn't all stay together, but at least they always had someone to be with, and they mixed it up from place to place and person to person so that everyone was with the other group from time to time.

Since Brandon and Reece didn't come Mark and I were able to use the two extra tickets.  We had a great time on the trampolines.  I also went all over taking pictures of the boys in action.  Super fun place (and you get quite a workout).

I think Robert had a great time!

As I was getting the boys ready to leave the manager came over and said we could stay the extra 15 minutes.  I went around and told all the boys.  Ryan and Aaron had a private dodge ball jam - too cool. All the boys had a great time!

After Sky Zone we went back to our house for pizza, soda, DQ Ice cream cake, presents and games.  We had two cars full of boys.  Betsy stopped at Thorntons to get everyone drinks (and to kill time before picking up the pizza), then to Snappy Tomato Pizza for pizza and cheesy bread.

Robert opened presents - too funny - everyone got him iTunes gift cards.  He can buy music, apps, whatever with those.  Max got him a gift card to Dicks…all perfect.

Back at home everyone ate well, and enjoyed their drink.  I'm sure they were thirsty.

The boys played Chess (of all games) and then they finally made it downstairs for basketball, ping-pong and darts.  They also made their way outside for 3v3 basketball and night soccer.  It was super fun watching them all get along so well.  Ben left around 9:40, then slowly the boys were picked up.  The last boy was picked up at 11:00.  Summary:  Great party!!!
