Club soccer always takes a break between the fall and the spring. The players usually do some indoor training and play on recreation indoor soccer teams or futsal teams. Robert loves the off season because he gets to play with friends that aren't on his Club team (friends from NOHS, or previous teams). He even plays 3v3 soccer, but once March 1st hits - it's usually back to serious soccer with the Club.
This year it's been hard with the crazy weather we've been having. Snow, rain, hot, cold, wet fields ... ugh!!!
We've been doing indoor practices since we couldn't use the fields ... that is until this week. Finally, outdoor soccer started the Monday and Tuesday. Robert will have regular practice for KFJ soccer on Monday and Wednesday every week. That is unfortunate because his tennis team practices on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Luckily, this is the last week of tennis practice - next week "games" start so there is a different schedule for that. The tennis coach, Mr. Arterburn has been very accepting of Robert's commitment to club soccer (we are so grateful).
Another positive thing is that the weather has been perfect this week for soccer - 64 degrees on Monday, 70 degrees on Tuesday. It was beautiful weather for anything outdoors!
