Happy 54th Birthday Betsy

It was a strange day.  I usually would have gone to work, but since I was laid-off the day before, I got a wonderful birthday present to sleep in.  SLEEP IN - I love to sleep in.

Mark made plans to spend the day with me.  He worked in the morning planning to take the afternoon off.  At 2:00 PM we went to a late lunch at Longhorn, my favorite.  I ordered the ribeye (my favorite) and Mark got the pork porterhouse.  We were there only customers (there were servers eating but they finished and left while we were there).  Our server was Rose, and she told us we were her last customers.  The restaurant was closing after we left.  It would be open for take away but not for any dine in customers.  Such a strange feeling to see what seems like the world closing down.

After lunch we drove over to the movie theater to see a movie "I Still Believe"  When we arrived at the theater the marque said "As of March 18 the theater is closed until further notice."

Well - that's it - the world is closed down - except for "Essential Work".  It's crazy.  Yesterday I lost my job, today all the businesses close.

It is definitely a memorable birthday.

Happy Birthday Devon

Happy Birthday DEVON!!!!  Devon turned 25 today.  Wow!  A quarter of a century old.  Devon is such a wonderful blessing in my life.  I am so happy for him.

He is a Senior at BYU finishing up a degree in Mathematics.  He is happily married to Sierra - they have been married 1 and ½ years.

I arranged for Jessica to deliver a "Insomniac"  birthday cookie cake, and I sent a package filled with presents - jeans, a belt, and two gift cards for date nights.

Happy Birthday Jessica

Happy Birthday Jessica.  Today she is 27 years old. What a blessing she is in our lives.

She has been married 4 and ½ years, and the mother of adorable Cayson.  She has her masters in Speech Communication Disorders.

Her birthday always falls on Martin Luther King's holiday so she always gets the day off!  What a treat!

Birthday celebration for Tate, Devon, Marissa and me

Betsy flew to Provo, Utah on March 4 for a week to babysit Cayson so Jessica could finish her internship.  However, Jessica finished the internship the Friday before so we had the week together to have fun.  At the same time Mark and I have sold our house but we do not know where we are moving to ... crazy.

One of our favorite things to do was go to the Provo Recreational Center.  Cayson loved the water.

Betsy loves spending time with Cayson

This is   week!

On March 7 is Tate's birthday.  Betsy decorated their apartment with balloons and streamers the night before so he would wake up to the fun decorations.

Jessica took him to Olive Garden in Salt Lake City, but then decided to invite Marissa and I to join them.  Cayson loved being out too!  Betsy got to feed Cayson - yum, yum!

So happy Marissa made it to town

Marissa turned 22:  We are so happy that Marissa came down to Provo so we can celebrate her birthday with her.  We are celebrating a few days early, but that's okay!

Devon turned 24:  Devon's birthday was Sunday.

Saturday was the BIG celebration.  We celebrated Tate's, Marissa's, Devon's, and Betsy's birthdays.  We've been looking forward to this since January.  We all met at Tuscano's Brazilian Grill.  It's were the servers walk around with steak and chicken on skewers.  We ate and ate and ate.  It was delicious.

Tucano's for Birthday dinner

It's BIRTHDAY TIME!!!!

Tate - March 7th
Devon - March 10th
Marissa - March 14th
and me - March 18th

To treat everyone - I took everyone to Tucano's for lunch!
My beautiful daughters - Marissa and Jessica

Devon and Sierra came over and from there we all went to Tucano's.  Tucano's is a Brazilian restaurant.    At Tucanos, meats and vegetables are carefully selected to ensure that only the freshest cuisine is served. The meats are tastefully seasoned and cooked on skewers over open-flame grills. The skewers are then brought around to the guest's tables where sizzling portions are sliced onto our plates. You may choose as many different flavors and cuts as you like. The meats range from tantalizing chicken to sirloins.  It is extremely delicious!!!  It is a meat lovers dream - so it's perfect for Devon and Tate, and me - and Marissa just a little.  They also have an expansive salad bar - which we all appreciated greatly!

Back at Tate and Jessica's apartment - Betsy had decorated the whole apartment with banners, signs, streamers and balloons!  IT was so festive.  She gave Tate, Devon and Marissa their birthday presents.  It was such a festive time.

Happy Birthday Robert

Saturday, February 25, 2017

Robert Thomas Lowe turned 18 years old.  He became an official adult.

My little Robert, whom has been my buddy and travel companion for years is all grown up.  It's so hard to believe and exciting all at the same time.  He is so mature, intelligent, respectful, diligent, athletic, ambitious, and trustworthy.  I'm so proud of him!!!

Today, Mark and I have a special day planned for Robert.

Ryan Geogehagen spent the night on Friday.  This morning we made them chocolate chip waffles and bacon before opening presents (or at least one present).

At the Game!!!

For Robert's birthday, we got him tickets to the University of Kentucky vs Florida basketball game being held today at Rupp Arena at UK in Rupp Arena.  Robert is a big UK basketball fan, but has never been to a UK basketball game.  We got two tickets - one for Ryan too!

Ryan drove there.  They stopped and saw Keyon Gehoymi too.

The game was great.  UK started off slow but came back to win the game.  AWESOME!!!

Betsy and Ryan invited many of Robert's friends to the house for a surprise 18th birthday party.  Ryan invited all the seniors from the soccer team and many of the guys and girls from the Creasey FC team...Ryan G., Mason Rice, Ben O'Brien, Drew Bailey, Zach Gaubert, Jack Dugan, Jack Siebert, Matthew Morris, Mo Mendoza, Max Sanders, Nathan Clark, Michael Raybine, Dylan Smith, Alex Betson, David Roy, and Shannon Roy, Shannon's friend from Michigan, Megan Simpson, Emma Boyd, Sela, and a few others.

It was a great night - ping pong, home videos, basketball, pizza, cake, drinks, fun!!!!

We love you Robert!!!
