For some reason I am having a very hard time with Robert - it started near the end if 8th grade and seems to be getting progressively worse. He is super!! He has all As, he did two fall sports lettering in both, he also does scouts and club soccer. He gets along well with his teammates and friends but his actions or word choices at home leave me speechless. He can be awful and rude. Completely mean at times. I think he is venting because of the stress but he should not express it like that or to me directed at me.
It is heartbreaking at times. I know he means well and that this is a faze he is going through but it is such a challenge for me.
I do everything for him (I don't mean his chores or that stuff) like drive him everywhere, cook his favorite foods, etc but he just doesn't see it.
Time will tell if I handled it correctly, I hope so!!!
