Jessica's Skype on Friday

Friday night seemed to go so slow, but as the time got closer to 10:45 the more excited Mark and I got for Jessica's time to SKYPE.  Jessica was given special permission to SKYPE us early since Mark was going to be leaving for Brazil on Sunday, so he wouldn't be home a the night she was supposed to SKYPE!  Somehow the time snuck up on us - it's tonight!!!  WOW!!!

After work I got a video, "The Book Thief".  After dinner, Mark and I started the video to help time pass before her call.  Devon went to the movies for a show - then called to say he was going to see another - we were like "NO WAY!"  You have to come home, Jessica is SKYPING in one hour.  It just snuck up on all of us since she is SKYPING on Friday and not Sunday.  The excitement was so thick and bubbling in the air around our house.  I kept watching the clock.  10:04, 10:09, 10:24, etc.  Would she be able to call as planned???

It was almost like clockwork, at exactly 10:45 pm, Jessica called via SKYPE.  We had a few difficulties at first, and then the internet Cafe that she was at lost all power for a few minutes, but then we were able to have a full 40 minute call.

Betsy started it, but passed the time to Devon quickly.
Devon had 8 minutes with her alone (mostly).  While Devon was on SKYPE with her, Marissa came home.
Robert had 8 minutes with Jessica after Devon.  He passed it to Marissa, but stayed for a little while.  We let Marissa talk to her a little longer since Robert was there in the start.

It was hard to believe that we each only got 8 minutes with her, but it was over 40 minutes total.  We had to say good bye - that was so hard.

I loved seeing her face!!!  I loved hearing her voice!!!!  I can't wait to see her in 6 months.
