Today is Marissa's birthday. She turned 16 years old. In the state of Kentucky, once you turn 16 you can apply for your driver's permit. The permit test is only offerend on Monday's and Thursday's so it was just her luck that her birthday was on a Thursday. She was very excited and nervous to take her permit test on her birthday. "What if I don't pass - that will be the worst birthday ever!"
There wasn't much of a wait. She had to take the eye test first. This was problematic. The machine showed all the numbers in a blur. She really struggled to make them out. Then we found out that she was pushing the button down too far causing them to be blurry. Once she figured out where to push the button to, she was able to read them all perfectly fine.
Next is the written test. She was gone for about 30 minutes. She passed. Luckily, it was a great day!
