Friday at 3:30 the bell rang at school - Free at last. It was going to be a busy afternoon, but that was okay because their was relief in mind.
Immediately after work Betsy drove to the airport to pick up Mark, whom had been in Dallas all week (he had the chance to see Alex while there on business). His flight arrived at 4:15. From there we drove to the car dealership to pick up the Honda. It is fixed (for now) for the meager cost of another $800. $800 is cheaper than $11,000 but it still seams like a waste of a lot of money.
Mark took care of the car - and knew that the next 24-36 hours he would be alone and on single parent duty while Betsy went to meet her friend, Sandra Orr for a get away of girl-fun and scrapbooking.
Betsy met Sandra and Cindy at Archievers. They talked and scrapped the night away - at least until 11:00 when the store closed. From there we stayed the night at a hotel for rest and relaxation. We watched HGTV, Say Yes to the Dress, and other rediculous shows just to relax. We talked and stayed up until 2:00 when we finally realized we had to get up and be back at the store by 10:00 (we left all our stuff there). Around 2:44 we finally stopped talking and fell asleep.
The next morning we had a delicious breakfast including belgium waffles, fresh blueberries, juice, eggs and bacon before heading back to continue scrapbooking. Around 5:00 that night we cleaned up. I took Sandra to dinner at Panera as a thank you for a wonderful weekend getaway. A much needed get away!
