We are hoping there will be good weather but we are expected to get the remnant rain from Hurricane Isaac. Time will tell!
The girls run first at 12:30 -- so far the weather is holding out. It is sunny with a slight breeze.
The boys run at 1:00 pm - The gun goes off, the weather is humid but cooperating with a nice breeze. Robert gets a great start for being in the back on the start line. He is racing in the TOP 7 race so it is against the best of every team that came to the race. He is in a good position as they come around the first curves of the course (top 15).
From there the runners run up a hill around a small soybean field and then up a straight away before heading into a large soybean field (last year it was a corn field). Robert has inched his way up a bit t in the order. This is just before the 1 mile marker. 
Once they pass the one mile mark parents can't see them until they come around the corner for the uphill finish. Robert is finishing strong sprinting up hill to keep his position and place. 
Robert finished 7th overall and 4th for the team with a time of 11:09. It was a great run! We are so proud of you Robert! You did Great!!!
