Terrific Day at Trinity Run

Saturday was a CRAZY day, but not for Devon (just mom).  Mom takes Devon to NOHS by 7:00 am, while Mark had to drive up to Indiana Deam Lake to pick up Robert from his 19th campout.  As soon as I get back from dropping off Devon, I had to run home to take Marissa and Katie to NOHS for practice.  No one understands why the girls were not running in the Trinity Valkerie run like the boys.

Devon's race is at 9:00 a.m.  The weather is perfect.  Devon was all ready (except he forgot to take his inhaler).

At 9:00 am the gun went off and Devon got a great start.  He was keeping a great pace at the 1 mile mark and doing great at the 2 mile mark.

He ran a great race and finished at 18:15 in 67 place out of 317 people.  After the race Devon didn't want to talk to anyone.  Later he told me he forgot to take his inhaler.  I felt so bad for him.  He really wanted to have a great race - which he did, but he wanted to do better.

Devon stayed with the team to watch the boys Varsity race and the Freshman race.

I had to run home to get Robert to his soccer game.
