Close game against CSC

Right After Devon's cross country meet, Betsy raced home to take Robert to his game against CSC that started at 11:00 am at the home fields.  Robert had to be at the fields by 10:25.  It was a perfect day for a game; approximately 75 degrees, warm, sunny and a slight breeze.  The fields aren't that great, but then these are the fields they play on so we are used to it by now.

The game started and remained 0-0 for a while.  Robert came in after 10 minutes of play and stayed in for the remainder of the first half.  Robert played in the offensive midfielder position and did a fantastic job.  He was aggressive, attacking the ball, stealing it from the opponent, and anticipating passes.  He had to play against a large player but stood his ground nicely.

Unfortunately for KFJ, there was a throw in the bounced too high going over the defenders head allowing CSC in the perfect position to score - and they did.  Just before half time the score went to 0-1.

Robert played most of the second half too.  In both halves Robert's team controlled the ball most of the time, potentially scoring several times, but just not making the goal winning shot.  Most of the time they would shoot directly to the goalie.

The game ended, after a very strong fight to the finish 0-1:  CSC won.
