Update on Jessica

Thank goodness for modern technology - because of Skype, Texting and cell phones we are able to keep in touch with Jessica frequently.  She seems to be having a wonderful start to her sophomore school year.  She loves her apartment, and even though it isn't new, it is in the perfect location and it has a great social element to it.

Jessica became involved in Student Government this year.  She has a few meetings each week.  It's great to see her doing good things for the school.

She is also playing on two intramural basketball teams - one all girls, and one co-ed.  She loves it. She said she is the high scorer for both teams.  GO J-LOWE!

She is also doing great with her grades.  She has earned very high marks in all of her classes and continues to love the subjects she is studying.

She has Jenny as her "roommate" but has two new roommates - or apartment mates that she really gets along with as well.  She says it's great!  She couldn't ask for better roommates.

She's been asked out on a few dates, so the dating life continues.  I think this probably causes her the most heart ache.  She thinks of Jake all the time, and misses him, and knows she has to continue with life, but she is troubled by feelings of guilt when she goes on a date with another guy.  She and Jake agreed not to stay together, but she feels like she's betraying him by dating.  She doesn't want to lead anyone on, but she also doesn't want to "wait" for two years if Jake and her don't stay together.  Confusing!!! for sure!!!

Mostly Jessica wants to earn enough money to go on a study-abroad program through BYU this summer.  She is considering going to Romania or Mexico.  She has a lot of decisions to make.
