After a lovely hotel breakfast, Dad, Alison, Betsy, Devon, Jessica, Robert and Marissa headed out on another great adventure. Today's adventure started in Walnut Canyon viewing the Cliff Dwellings from hundreds of years ago. It was a fascinating 1.4 mile hike around cliffs in the Walnut Canyon. We took a ton of photos and learned so much from the markers along the trail. Best of all it was time for the kids to have with their Grandfather and Grannie.

I love this photo - the kids want to use it as our Christmas Card photo
...we will see
Devon walked with Grandfather and Grannie most of the time sharing and listening. They stopped at every marker to read the information.
The second stop (of three) was at Meteor Crater (east of Flagstaff by some 40 miles). It is an amazing sight that you can see from miles away. It is the place were a meteor from outer space crashed into our planet. We were all fascinated to learn about meteors, craters and this one in particular.

The third stop on today's adventure was to a superb restaurant in-between Interstate 40 and the railroad tracks, call La Pasada. Dad and Alison had been there before and knew much of it's original purpose, design, and details. After a delicious lunch, we took a tour of the resort. The new owner is renovating the establishment and making it something to see! It was quite impressive and someday soon may become a tourist resort.
