Long - Traffic Ridden Drive Home

Without boring people too much.

We left the hotel at 8:12 am - we made it through Florida with no problem - and north to Alabama.  In Alabama we were stuck in traffic several times.  At one time the traffic indicator said there was a 30 minute delay, so I rerouted Mark off Interstate 65 to the side roads, but wouldn't you know - there was an accident on the side road so we sat in traffic there.  We decided to go another way, but then we were stopped by a TRAIN.  Of, for heaven's sake - we can't win.

Once we got back on the Interstate it was another 30 minute wait (or at least it seemed to be that long).  We made it all the way through Nashville, but got stuck in more traffic on the north side.  This time Betsy took the side road and navigated her way away from traffic.  We came out back on the interstate just above the construction - yeah!!!

We didn't get home until 9:07 (Robert nailed the time) - 12 hours of driving on a day that it should have only taken 9 and 1/2 hours (well 10 with the time change, but still).

We were happy to get home.  We stopped at the grocery store on our way in to restock before the Sabbath.  When we got home - HOLY COW.

The GRASS was at least 6 inches tall.  Betsy did laundry for three days and still wasn't done, but again it was still so good to be home.
