Wednesday morning was filled with much anticipation for Marissa and myself as we drove to her doctor appointment.
When we arrived we (I) realized we were 15 minutes late... ugh - how did I do that. Thank goodness it was over break and we could just wait.
Dr. Grossfeld saw us, gave her a thorough exam and allowed Marissa to start running! We were so excited!!!!
We hope all the cross training we have been doing has been what she needs to be able to start up again. Only time and races will tell. Her first race will be this Saturday at the Metro Meet of Champions. She has never run this race (although she has run the Tiger which is the same course) because it is when Varsity it taking a break getting ready for regionals and state.
