Plans for Three Parties in Five Days

Let's just say "Betsy's Over Booked"  Oh yah.

Timing didn't go in Betsy's favor this year with three major events that I am in charge of all happening within five days.  It wasn't meant to be this way - it didn't start out this way - but it sure did end up with so much all at the same time.

First on the list is the NOHS Lady Mustang Track Banquet.  I agreed to help with this back in March - when there wasn't a date set.  As time got closer, there wasn't any available dates except for the date just prior to event #2, the 8th grade cookout - survivor games and dance.

That event is all day and night on June 1.  I am in charge of the entire event (have been since the beginning of the year) but with three other co-chairs.  My focus is the cookout - 350 people from 11:30 - 12:30 are to be fed hamburgers, hotdogs and all the other fun stuff:  chips, cookies, sodas, condiments, etc.  It isn't so much the event that is the hard work, it is all the planning.  Getting the grills, cooks, volunteers, food (will that much food fit in my van?).  Luckily we should have a huge grill available to us and a cook to go with it.  We have several volunteers and I have two people meeting me at the grocery store to help shop for all that food and transport it to the school.  We will set up, serve, eat and clean up.  On to the games.  My good friends are incharge of that.  The dance is that night - another person is incharge of that, so I should be good.  Yeah a sigh of relief.

The last event is our person "Graduation Party" for Jessica.  We are thrilled to be celebrating her success in high school.  She's done a fabulous job in academics, sports and service.  Again, it the planning, preparing menus, shopping and getting it all ready before the big graduation day.

After June 4th - I will get to sleep.   Until then,  please ignore the black circles under my eyes!
