Jessica is amazing at Sundown Invitational Meet

May 5, 2011 - Jessica was scheduled for two events.  The 4x800 relay and the 3200 meter (2 mile).  She has never ran the two mile before.

She did AWESOME in both!

Jessica did a 2:28 in the 4x800 relay.  She was the last leg.  She ran with Sarah, Ali and Hannah.  She had the best time of all 4.

Then she had a lot of time to recover before running the 3200 m (2 mile) which is the second to the last event.  She had never run this before, but she did amazing.  Mark counseled her to stay in the middle of the pack (about 6 back) for the first mile of the race and then start to increase her pace to move forward.  The photo to the right is Jessica at on her 4th lap.  She will finish passing both of the OC runners and the Jefferson runner.  She ran it in 12:06 coming in third to the first and second place winners of the state meet last year!  AMAZING!!!  If you can't tell I'm so excited for her.  She kept a 90 second per lap pace the whole race until the last lap and finished it in 73 sec.
