MAMMOTH CAVES ADVENTURE

Over the fall break, Mark was able to take a day off so that we could go to Mammoth Caves together. It's ironic. We've lived in Kentucky for over 7 years now ... we've heard about and wanted to go to Mammoth Caves ever since first coming, and yet this is the first time we have taken the time to go. Thank goodness we went when we did. The color of the leaves are beautiful - this was a perfect time to go.
Finally - a family picture:
Betsy, Devon, Jern Jern, Jessica, Mark
and Robert and Marissa in front!

The girls welcome everyone to Mammoth Caves.
We took the historial tour! It was 2 miles in 2 hours.
We really loved it! Recommend it to anyone that likes caves!

Another candid shot of Devon
Hasn't he grown
in case you couldn't tell, he is now taller than Betsy. She is still taller than Robert and Marissa but those days are numbered! (well, maybe not Marissa)
Jessica and Jern Jern had such a fun time together!

So did Jessica and Marissa!

King of the world!

This is the entrance to the tour. There is a beautiful waterfall to the left in the picture. The temperature is at least 10 degrees cooler at the bottom. The cave eventually takes you 400 feet below ground.

Okay, now Mark thinks he's king of the world!
I think he's closer to it than Robert

Such fun!
Jern Jern, Jessica Mark and Robert
(I'm always taking the pictures)

Finally, Jessica took a picture of Mark and I as we are getting ready to head back home!
Yours truly,
The Lovebirds
