Ski Sundance

Monday was Martin Luther King Holiday, so Jessica had the day off, which meant it was a holiday for me.  It was a win win because she got to spend the day with Cayson and I got to get out and do something different.  The thing I wanted to do was SKI!!!

It snowed 8" of snow overnight so all the ski resorts had POWDER.  It was an adventure to say the least.  At first I was going to drive there in Tate's 2 wheel drive Corolla, but the road were pretty bad driving the car to his work to pick up the ski pass, so I ordered a Lift.  The Lift driver also only had a 2 wheel drive car, so, I ordered a Ski Uber and he got me up the mountain to Sundance - I got there around 11:00.

By 11:30 I was on the chairlift headed for a day of snow adventure.  I did all sorts of runs:  Maverick, Amy's Ridge, Round Up, Bear Claw, Lone Pine, Long Hollow, Diamond Back, and Last Chance.  I had skied very well with only one strange fall until I did Amy's Ridge.  It was full of moggles and my legs were tired so I wiped out three times.  Usually I wiped out because I ended up trying to slow down and ended up skiing backwards.  Yikes!  The real problem was that I let fear get into my head.  That's when I always mess up - fear!

It was a great day, my last run was fantastic - fast and furious. After returning the rental skis and polls, I went to the Creekside Cafe' and bought a hot chocolate and a colossal cookie while waiting for my Uber ride to come pick me up - except they canceled on me.  Then the next one canceled on me.  Eventually, Tate, Cayson and Jessica came to pick me up.  They were travel heros!
