The Varsity game started immediately after the JV game - again - no warm up time on the field (but they at least had time to warm up during the JV game) and Robert was warmed up from playing in the JV game.
Right from the start it was a great game. Mason Rice scored within the first 5 minutes (or so) of the game. Yahoo! We had several shots and shots on goal. Then there was foul and Will Alan scored the second goal on a perfectly placed free kick. PERFECT to the left corner!!!
The half time score was 2-0. I was hoping they would have three so that Robert could get more playing time.
In the second half Josh Stone had a great opportunity but just missed the goal - the second time he had the perfect opportunity he was sure not to miss. 3-0. We dominated ball control in this game. Near the end of the game somehow our defense let up and the GreenWaves scored while Alex was goalkeeper.
Robert was subbed in to play for 10 minutes he had some great runs but didn't get a chance to score.Near the end of the game Cameron Gray also got a goal
Final score 5-1.
Great job Mustangs!!!!
