Tough loss to Dunbar

I felt so excited for this game - the boys JV team has gone undefeated all season so far until our last game, but I've been afraid to be excited about it so that I didn't jink it ... well tonight ended their run.

Robert has earned a solid starting position for the JV team however the coach still switches the players so that everyone gets playing time.  Robert starts and plays for 18-20 minutes.  This was a competitive game.  The ball went back and forth but Robert had two great shots on GOAL that the goalie stopped.  BUMMER!  Then the coach subbed out 8 or 10 boys all at once.  UGH!!!!  For the rest of the half we didn't do anything statistically... and we let Dunbar score two goals!  SUPER BUMMER!!!

In the second half of the game the starters are back on the field.  I'm trying to say things to encourage the boys to get in better position but my words get all jumbled up and I end up saying ...

"Make yourself Useful" at a pretty loud voice ... oh my gosh ... how embarrassing.  I had no intention of saying something like that...

The very next second I say "That was so stupid... I can't believe I just said that."

HOWEVER, in the next minute Nolan Ruggles steals the ball and scores on a lone run.  WAY to go!!!
the whole stadium says, "He made himself useful..."  TOO FUNNY.

I will never live this down, but at least everyone is laughing about it.

We ended up losing the game 4-1
