I can't believe it but Devon is 17 years old today. At 3:10 we had a family celebration. Devon had a busy day that didn't allow for much fun-fair. He had a meeting at 9:00 am, then a game at 12:00 pm and he had to be at work from 4:30 - 9:30 pm, all the while still trying to get homework and chores done (we didn't make him do chores on his birthday :)
So at 3:10, Mom served Devon's favorite meal - STEAK with no potatoes. Devon had steak, corn, rolls, and milk (everyone else also had mashed potatoes). Devon was so happy! He ate the whole thing extremely fast. After the delicious dinner, Devon had his traditional birthday cookie cake. He was a bit nervous when he saw that I put all 17 candles on the cake. He did a great job - he blew them all out in only 2 puffs, but you know what that means - 2 girl friends (just teasing).
Devon blew out all the candles and enjoyed some cookie cake before leaving for work. It was such a fast celebration. He was given a $50 gift certificate from his parents to get whatever he wants.
