NO more IEP

Today was Devon's re-evaluation meeting at NOHS.  I didn't receive the results of the test until Thursday evening, which only gave me 12 hours to consider the results.  The results were very conflicting but strongly told the story the school wanted to pursue.  Devon is perceived as being a model student at NOHS with no need for additional or individual education plans.  I agree in that Devon is a very capable student that has learned to adapt and adjust to various changes and difficulties at school, however, Devon still struggles with his social skills with peers (whether it be at school or other environments).

In the end, Devon was cleared of all schools services - no speech, no IEP, no autism qualifications, no OT.

This is amazing!  He will now file for a 504 to allow for extended time.  Other than that, Devon is officially considered normal.
