Devon - week 8

This week has been great.  Gladys’ baptism had a great turn out over 70 people showed up to see her get baptized.  Kali one of our progressing investigators when with the Burch's to experience what happens at a baptism.  I hope that seeing Gladys’ baptism helps her develop the faith to want the desire to be baptized.  I have been in the mission for 6 weeks.  Wow that flew by fast.

Summer went by so fast. I feel more accustom to the field for sure and I have gotten to know the members better, which really helps.  The bishop is a great bishop and really helps us with the work. Gladys received the Gift of the Holy Ghost yesterday which was great and spiritual.  We also gave a blessing to a recent convert which really helped them get better, they had phenomena.  The non member husband was really grateful for the blessing.  We had 2 baptisms and confirmation plus 4 new investigators this transfer.  I am really pumped up for this next transfer because I know if we work hard, are exactly obedient, and trust in the Lord that He will lead us to the field that is white and ready to harvest.

We had over 100 lessons this transfer.  I get to stay with Elder Bodine, which is great.  I didn't think that we would be split up and I was right.  He was shocked because he thought that he was going to be transferred since he has been in the area for about 6 mouths.

That is unbelievable that Jordan and Michelle are getting a divorce.  That is 3 divorces for the Lowe family in about a years time.  Linda, Alan, and now Jordan. Satan must be trying to destroy the Lowe family plus both Jessica and Aunt Shana are suffering.  I think Jessica will be fine in the end and that this is a trial that she needs to endure for her own strengthening.  I hope that we all stay physically and spiritually strong.  Doing the small spiritual faith exercising activities can really deepen our roots so that when the wind blows we can withstand it.  Exercise your Faith in the Lord’s grace and mercy by Reading his word everyday, Praying everyday, Go to church Every week, Fast for your love ones, and Serve the Lord in your callings. As you do this with all your heart your Faith will grow and the Lord will bless you with Miracles.  I Know this and I know that the Lord is a Just and Merciful God and that he is a God of miracles.
