Devon - week 7

I actually know the zone leaders very well. My first Thursday here was a zone conference. They also lived with us for my first two weeks here.  They are amazing and know the scriptures better then I do.  They are great Zone leaders and one of them Loves Pok'emon like I do.  The mission President has not visited our area but we had new missionary training with the President.  They are going to build a new temple over here called the Meridian Temple and this temple is going to be a big one like the London, DC, and Salt Lake Temple.  They are going to have ground breaking on Aug 23.  I don't think we will be able to go.  I am glad that both Jessica and Norman are doing well.  Thank you for telling him what I sent to him.  I am and will continue to pray for Norman and Jessica.

This week we had district exchanges.  This time I went with district Leader McAdoo. We went out later that day because the district leader had to plan out district meeting tomorrow since the topic of district meeting changed the night before.  We got to go bless a recent convert.  That was cool.  Later that week, after weekly planning the sisters texted us that they were running late to visit Ann but they didn't tell us that we were visiting her that day.  So we started walking and then ran from Target to her house.  It was fun to run to her house.  Kali one of our progressing investigators decided to cancel on us.  We were sad, but she did come to church so that was great.  This week I had the privilege of serving members by giving them blessings.  Both times I thought they were going to ask Elder Bodine since they know him better.  Both of those blessings were very spiritual for me and them.  One lady has so much faith and is being blessed for it.  She even has stopped taking pain medication because she says that she does not need it since she does not feel pain anymore.  On Saturday we did service all day and Elder Mecame and Elder X or Xomponpacty  I prayed and fasted that the less actives we saw would come to church and God answered my prays. I feel bad that I forgot to fast for my sister who is in the Hospital right now because of Heart problems. However, I can’t explain it but I know that she will be fine.  I am not really worried about her at all, even though her heart could stop and she could die that because she is going to be fine.  Even so i should pray for her health more because she is my sister.  Only one week until transfers. ahh.   It is crazy how fast it goes by.  I still can’t believe that Gladys is getting baptized in 2 days.  I have finished the Book of Mormon in my Personal Study and now have started the Doctrine and Covenants.  There is so many great scriptures in the Book of Mormon I wish I could go through all of them and highlight and memorize them.  I may not have the time to do that right now but I have the rest of my life to take to heart those scriptures.  The gospel is a wonderful gift that God has provided for us and we should be grateful unto him.
