On Friday afternoon, Betsy took Robert to the Orthopedic Specialist to discuss the complications from wearing the ACL knee brace. Robert's left leg feels fine, but due to the brace the right knee is getting bruised from the many times it is hit by the brace.
We didn't go to the doctor to get out of the brace, but if the doctor felt comfortable about it, then we would be EVER so happy. We expected that the answer was going to be to just continue one more month, or to try a different brace … BUT ...
Dr. Brey went through every thought and challenge and agreed to allow Robert to play without the brace. I think this will really help Robert's game. We were so happy…a bit concerned, but still very happy.
His knee is completely healed and he is stronger today, much more than he was a month ago.
