Cincinnati Reds game at Great American Ball Park

This week it's spring break from school.  We decided as a family not to go anywhere when we thought Mark was losing his job.  Since he didn't lose his job, we were all thrilled and stayed here to save the money.  This way we can go on a trip when Jessica is here.

Betsy wanted to take the kids to Newport Aquarium on Monday but no body wanted to go with her.  So instead she took Robert and Marissa to the mall for Bourbon chicken and to look around.  Marissa found some cute clothes at Forever 21.  Robert was bored and couldn't wait to get to the food court.  Devon didn't come because he had to work at 4:30.

Tuesday was nearly the same … lunch at Qdoba at the Summit and then shopping at Springhurst.  Betsy got some things for everyone in the family…much needed.  Again, Devon had to work but today it was at 5:30.

Wednesday was the day Mark and Betsy were looking forward to.  We thought it would be great fun to take the kids to Cincinnati to see a professional baseball game at the Red's (Great American Ball Park).  Ironically, it was the coldest day of the week and everyone had to dress warm.  By cold, I mean it was 43 degrees when we left the house… burr.
Betsy had everyone wear layers and she tried to get everyone to wear red but they didn't go for it.  She, of course was in full red attire.  We left the house around 10:00 am and got there in plenty of time.  We had excellent parking related to the position of our seats.  We were in a bit of a time crunch - we would have to leave the game around 2:50 in order to get Devon back to be at work by 5:00.  The game started right on time.  It was the Reds vs the World Series champions - the St. Louis Cardinals.  It was 0-0, 0-0, then the Cards scored 3 in one inning.  It was a shame because the Reds had 11 hits, but only 1 or 2 runs.  While we were there we ate cotton candy, pizza and a philly sub.  It was a great day.  We even snapchatted Jessica a few times to include her in the fun.  We had to leave the game at the bottom of the 7th.  The cards are up by 1 run.

On the drive home we listen to the game on the radio.  It's amazing.  In the bottom of the 9th the Reds only have this last chance to score and they do it.  With a man in scoring position, Votto has a great hit and brings in 2 runners.  Games over!  Reds win it!
