Church Basketball

This Saturday was the first weekend of church basketball.  Both the teams for our ward are young, small and inexperienced.

Marissa's team had a game at 8:00 am with only 5 girls showing up to play.  They played a hard game losing 4-14.

Emily Pina, Miarra Phipps, Marissa Lowe, Meg O'Brien, Eden Theiss and Dominique Miller

Devon's team had a game at 2:00, but Devon had to work so he couldn't be there.  They had only 4 boys show up so we let Robert stand on the court and pass the ball here and there.  One time he took a 3 point shot and made it!  They played against the Crestwood 2nd A team.  Everyone on the other team was at least a foot taller than our 5 deacons.  Our boys played hard but lost 9-70.  In my opinion the other team were bad sports.  They tried to run the score up even though they had a 50 point gain.

It was good for Robert to get some activity.  I hope we were okay to let him on the court.
