Visiting the Thorne's in North Carolina

It's hard to believe that it's had been two years since we last saw the Thorne family.  They were our best friends in KY while they lived here.  Their daughter were approximately the same age as my daughters, and Kathy and I clicked right off - so it was a perfect match.

Marissa and Scarlett are as cute of friends as they ever were.  As soon as we got there the memories came flooding back and they were off - two peas in a pod.

Susannah and Jessica were the same.  They were best friends and continue to get along so well.  We really wanted to see them before Jessica had to leave for college.    Here Jessica is 18 and Susannah is about to turn 17.    Susannah will start her Junior year in NC.

For me, it was great to see the girls together again, and it was so wonderful to have some "girl" time with Kathy.  Honest and truly if there wasn't the distance I think our families would have stayed so close.  There is such a special connection.

Sisters!  I'm so glad Kathy took this photo! I needed an updated photo of the girls together!
