Christmas Day

Our First Christmas in Texas - 2019

Christmas morning was a started relaxed and well rested.  Everyone slept in, even Cayson which was a surprising delight to everyone.  When Cayson woke up, Mark took him for a stroller ride around the neighborhood to give everyone else a chance to get a little more sleep.

Cayson was over joyed to find his presents from Santa waiting for him under the tree.  Santa brought Cayson a Bobcat and a musical drum set.  Cayson loved it!
Stocking time!  Everyone opened their stockings first.

We were so lucky to have Devon and Sierra SKYPE in for our Christmas celebration.
Devon and Sierra opened their presents from us, and we opened our presents from them.  It was great to hear their laughs and giggles at the fun presents.  Devon and Sierra looked so festive with his red shirt, her Santa hat.

Grandma and Grandpa love books and we love that we were able to give some adorable, hearing sounds books to Cayson.

Jessica and Tate opened their presents from Marissa - Tate got a scarf and a super cute mug that said Marissa was his favorite sister-in-law.  Jessica got a Mama Shark shirt (super popular kids song) and then a super special gift - tickets to go see their favorite country musician.

Dad and Tate got all their favorite presents: all of them plastic gift cards.  Mark also got a Texas shirt and hat.  When in Texas, be Texan.

Marissa got Tate the perfect mug:
"I love my sister-in-law"
Alas - the presents are all gone from under the tree.

We had a wonderful Christmas - filled with love, laughter, hugs and kisses and an adorable Grandson.  Half way through our "opening Presents" we cooked blueberry muffins and cinnamon rolls for everyone, and laid out a spread of fresh fruit as well.  It was all very casual and relaxed, comfortable ... at home ... even though it was our first year in this very new home.  Merry Christmas in deed.
