Chapel:  We had a musical concert on Friday, and three musical concerts on Saturday - held in the chapel.  On Friday, President Whitfield spoke about the purpose of the church worldwide, locally and what this room means to us each Sunday.  The music was amazing.  It opened hearts and allowed the spirit into our visitors.

On Friday there were over 70 in attendance (40 non-members)
On Saturday we had over 900 visitors with more than 90 non-members.

Primary:  The primary had three different activities - each relating to a prophet.

Children were invited to draw a picture of their favorite scripture story

Art Room:  We had a special room set to focus on one thing only - Christ.  It was art of the Savior from different vantage points, periods of his life, and different artists.  We even had a few local artists submit art.
Spencer and Emily Wheelwright did the art room

Hallway Displays:  Even the hallways and common areas were thought of with detail.  We wanted the building to feel warm and inviting.

We ordered 25 Book of Mormons in English and 10 in Spanish.  We received our order plus a Chinese Book of Mormon on Mandarin.  About mid day on Saturday a young man and his father (both from China) came to the open house.  The father knew nothing about the church and only spoke Mandarin.  Mark was walking around with them explaining the exhibits.  After a while, Mark asked him if her would like a copy of the Book of Mormon to read for himself.  He was thrilled to receive it.  We were thrilled to discuss the purpose and reason for the Chinese Book of Mormon.  The Lord knew we would need one.

Refreshments:  We had two different refreshments.  Friday was a catered lunch by Taco Cabana.  The room was decorated with white babies-breathe with Christ as the focus of the decoration.  I wish I had photos to show how beautiful it was.

Saturday was more family oriented.  We moved refreshments into the cultural hall to avoid the summer heat.  Sister Bonnie Robin did the decorations and the food.  She took it all upon herself.  She did a great job.

Car Wash:  The youth hosted a car was.  They was about 100 cars on Saturday.

Family Games:  We had games set up outside.  Badminton, corn-hole, bachi ball, basketball and bowling.
