Open House Preparation

Oh my goodness - with me working full time, getting ready for the open house became much harder, but we did it!!!

There were so many little details that had to be attended to, but Mark and I managed to think of them all.

We had display tables in each foyer that required decorative table clothes, Book of Mormons in Spanish and English, cards with our meeting times, a statue or framed art of Christ.

Bulletin Boards had to be decorated - two missionary boards, a Family History Board, and all three Ward bulletin Boards, plus the RS has two boards, Primary has three boards, and Young Women's has one.  That was a lot of planning (getting the paper, cutting the letters, and decorations).

Plants - all the rooms needed fresh looking plants.

The Foyers also needed to have plants, pillows and home feeling things brought to liven them up.

Each room was articulately decorated to match the atmosphere they wanted for that program.  Everything was done in good taste.

Even the serving area and the cultural hall for refreshments was done with taste and decorum.  Christ was the center theme of everything throughout the chapel.
