Week 29: Merry Christmas from Phuket

Wow it is almost Christmas and yet it doesn't feel like it at all. It is still pretty warm here in Phuket, and I kind of miss that snowy, Christmasy vibe. But then again I get to wear short sleeves anywhere I go so I'm not complaining. I can't explain how great this week was but I will do my best!

This week was my first full week of being senior companion and it's honestly the best. Elder Robinson and I put in the work this week and the miracles came. We found 8 new people this week, got 2 people on baptismal dates for this transfer, had 4 investigators at church, and had 88 people at church this Sunday!! The whole church was packed - we kept adding rows of chairs but some people just had to stand! So many miracles! Also there were too many foreigners there that we didn't have enough headsets to pass out. I had to stand in next to the pulpit with a mic and translate after each sentence! A little stressful but I'm learning so much!!

On Saturday we had our Christmas party and had about 50 people show up to that as well. It was so much fun, and I'm definitely going to send some pics!

So about a week ago Elder Robinson gets an impression to go to a park near our house. We enter and I began talking to a family while he is talking to another family. It turns out the family I was talking to was Christian and wanted to learn more about our message. We met with her 2 days later and set up an appointment for Thursday. When we came on Thursday, she didn't show up, but we saw this guy walking with his daughter. His name is จั้ม (jam) and within minutes we got an appointment for the next day. He was so fire that he accepted a baptismal date for the 13th of January, and even came to church. I am really excited about him and I hope he continues to progress.

Pepsi is still doing okay, but still needs a lot of work. She has been to church again on Sunday but I feel like she still doesn't understand that God has established one church only on this earth as His church. We are working on it with her, so maybe next week things may change.

To be honest I am writing this email a week later than I should be because my phone stopped working on Christmas Eve. For Christmas Eve, I went to Bangkok and there was a big party for all the zones in Bangkok. It was a lot of fun and I have pictures, but I cant send any because they are all on my phone. Sorry!! But once my phone starts working again, I will send like a billion photos of everything.

Love you all and Merry Christmas!!!!
