Hi everyone!
This week was a somewhat crazy week! So bear with me. For one, a lot of people are moving so sister brunt and I say that we have our own moving company now. I've never moved so much furniture and boxes in my life. Services is great and when we are in the services of our fellow beings we are in the service of our God, so I love doing service for these YSA people.

The letter from Sister Lowe to Sister Brunt |
- Sister Brunt,
checks the mail every morning to see if she got a letter. She always wants a
letter and always says that the mail man is hoarding all of her letters. So I decide
to write her a letter and then I took one of her old letters and took the New
Zealand stamp off it and put it on my letter and then wrote her friends
address. So the next morning she came running in and screamed "I GOT A
LETTER" I wanted to laugh so badly, but I held it in. She then opened it
and then after a few seconds said, "SISTER LOWE!!!" I just started bursting
out laughing and she was laughing too. She said I pranked her good. It was a
fun morning.
- So this week
Lansing told us that she was praying and she got this warm feeling and thought
that said "you should be baptized this week," so she told us she
wanted to be baptized. The next day she told us she didn't have that feeling
anymore :( in my head I was like well that's because God already answered you).
She told us she doesn't feel ready and should have read every day and prayed every
day. She said she was scared and doesn't know why she is scared. We talked with
her and tried to resolve her concerns. But still she says she's not ready, and she
is moving to Texas on Monday :( we are so sad. But she told us when she is
ready she will fly back and get baptized here in Logan.
- This week taught
me a lot about agency. God did everything he could for Lansing, us as
missionaries exerted all of our efforts to help her come closer to Christ, but
in the end it was up to her to choose and she chose to wait. It was a sad day,
but I have faith that she will get baptized some day and I cannot wait until
that day.
- Sister Brunt was called to be an STL (sister training leader). So this week she had to go on exchanges with sister Bellu and Sister Messer was with me. I had to be in charge of my area. I had to choose where to go and what houses to knock, it was a bit scary but the Lord helped me a lot. Exchanges always bring miracles because we had 4 member present lessons that day and got two return appointments! It was an awesome day and sister Messer was so happy (her area is really dead and they rarely teach people mostly less actives). This exchange showed me how much I've grown since I got here. I would have never been able to know what doors to knock and what to say to people 7 weeks ago and I did it all last Tuesday!
- Okay funny thing. We went to see Shawn who drinks a lot of alcohol and has been trying to quit. He told us he was sober for two weeks but now just bought a ton of new alcohol and hasn't been sober for 4 days. So sister Brunt and I just said "okay well we can take those off your hands." He was like "WHAT, No!" We taught our lesson and then at the end said, "okay, go get your bottles and give them to us." He wants to change but just keeps falling back into old habits. So he handed us a whole bag of bud light and then we left. It was funny because you wouldn't think two missionaries would hold beer while walking down the street. The first rubbish bin we saw, we threw them away.
Okay well a lot
more happened this week but that was pretty long already. I know that the
restored gospel of Jesus Christ can bring so much happiness to people and can
change their lives for the better. I am so grateful to be a missionary and I
love watching people's lives change for the better. I hope all is well and that
everyone one is doing okay!
