Day 5 (Wednesday): President Querido, Lubao, and a beach walk

It is another beautiful day in Paradise.  Every morning we get up and have a delicious breakfast at the hotel restaurant.  This is our friendly waiter this morning.  They are all so impressed that Jessica speaks Tagolic - they even have other hotel staff come talk to her to hear her speak.

I love this photo of Jessica and I - we are having a great time together.

And this photo of Mark and I.  What a great vacation.  I'm so glad he came along.

Love!!!

When we got back to the room the beds were already made up with this cute elephant towel on Jessica's bed.  Too cute!

Today is a trip back to Lubao to meet up with President Querido and his wife, Elise.  We meet them in front of the church building in Lubao.  We had a wonderful visit.  It was so nice to meet them since they were with Jessica the majority of her mission and they took such good care of her, and gave her great respect, responsibility and trust.  We are so grateful for their influence in her life.

After the Querido's left we went walking around Lubao and retraced things Jessica did while there.  We went around the market - this is where Jessica bought her fruit, veggies, fish, meat, etc.

Jessica found Boco juice - she loves it

Then we went back to visit with

After visiting with this family for a while we ventured back to the car so we could meet Ernesto at the church.  He was waiting for us there, inside the gate.  He goes there for institute now that he has graduated high school.  We walked down the street with Ernesto to one of Jessica's favorite restaurants and ate lunch with him.  While there I gave him 1000 pesos and told him it was to go towards his mission.

After a wonderful visit with Ernesto, we took a tryke back to the church and found a girl going there for Seminary - she was a girl that Jessica had baptized but didn't know how to get in touch with.  It was such a sweet reunion as the young lady didn't know Jessica was coming.  They both started crying.  Tears of Joy!!!
so sweet!
