Soccer Nightmare Comes to an End

Robert

LSA vs Legends???  It was such a tough decision but Robert went with LSA because he had already committed to the team.  Then come to find out that ...

Robert has a spot on the Javanon team but Javanon will have 20 players for the fall - WOW!  That is just too many.

We were trying to weigh our options between LSA and Javanon when there comes a call from Mockingbird for Robert to play on the Kentucky Fire Junior team.  Oh My goodness!  Can this really be happening?

So just to recap:
Robert tried out and was offered a spot at United, Legends (didn't try out), LSA, Javanon, Kentucky Fire Junior.  The only team that didn't offer him a spot was Rovers.

Now Robert has to decide if he wants to be on the team with his friends and that he's been with for the past year but know that there are bigger boys so they will probably get the playing time during games (only 11 play in a game), or to play on a less challenged team but with less players and being a more skilled player?   Essentially - do you want to be the little fish in the big pond or the big fish in the little pond… (so to say).

Robert decided to go with Kentucky Fire Junior.  Both Mark and I were very proud of him for making this decision.  It was a very hard one to make, especially walking away from his friends and teammates from the past year!  We think it is the right decision knowing Coach Joe and the fact that there are 20 players on the Javanon team, but only time will tell.

Robert is now playing for Kentucky Fire Junior!  Go #26!!!
