It's so not fair - but it's true. It's a story of animals. On Saturday, May 2 there is the famous Kentucky Derby Race. It may not be huge in other parts of this world, but it is HUGE in Kentucky. Well, our family has a tradition of picking horses prior to the race and seeing who would have won - if we were betting. Usually the winner will get something like their choice for dinner or ice cream or something fun like that - but its something small. Anyway ...
This year we did it a bit different. Each person got to chose three horses, "I want Revenge" scratched so we gave the last "unwanted" as the cat's pick. It turned out to be "Mind that Bird" We thought it was cute and very appropriate as Snickers loves to watch, chase and scare the birds...it seems her mind is always on the birds this time of year.
Well, Can you believe it - Snicker's horse WON the Kentucky Derby. The cat with a horse named after a bird. CRAZY! I guess I will go pick her up some cat nip this week.
