Spectacular Soccer Day

Robert with the foot moves.
Taking the ball up the field.
Total Control...
Today was "away" soccer day. Robert's team played the Frankfort Fury in Frankfort at 11:00. They played a great game. The first goal of the game was won by Robert Lowe. He was back on defense - received the ball and dribbled up - ready to pass, but never needed to - he took the ball all the way to the goal and scored. I was so excited for him! The was one moment in the game I stood in shock. The other team had a corner kids, and Robert protected the goal by heading the ball (from the goal) out of bounds. This is while he still has stitches. NO worries! The final score was tie 2-2.

The second game of the day was against MUSA in Madison, Kentucky. Robert's team faced an even more challenging team and won, 1-0. Robert played great defense. One of his best friends made the winning goal early on in the game.

I love watching Robert play soccer because he loves it so much. He is so focused and dedicated to his team. He works hard for himself, his coach and his team. Go Thoroughbreds!

Pictures to be posted tomorrow.
