Huricane IKE hits Louisville
Huricane Ike wasn't supposed to hit Louisville, Kentucky with winds at 75 mph, but he did. We didn't get any rain, however the destruction has been devistating to witness. Over 250,000 people are without power, trees are down everywhere. Just in my neighborhood alone there were 42 trees down on the way to my house. We were one of the blessed to only be without power for 10 hours. Most of Louisville and its surrounding towns are expected to be without power for 10-14 days. We lost some shingles off our roof and had to replant a tree but other than that we were untouched.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those touched by the power of this storm.
