Brother Deon Lewis was with Mark on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the Preach My Gospel meeting. Five days later, on March 5, 2020 Deon Lewis came down with the Coronavirus while in Utah. He arrived in Utah on March 5 and immediately was quarantined at his sister's house. He and Daynia stayed there until he recovered. Deon's case of the coronavirus was severe - he had to be on oxygen and he had to be hospitalized.
Since Mark had been with him 5 days earlier, we needed to quarantine ourselves from being around others. Unfortunately, we did not find out Mark had been exposed, and thus I had potentially been exposed, until March 15th, when Daynia told Mark on a conference call about missionary work. Both of us had been going to work.
Mark started working from home that Monday (3/16), and I was asked to stay home that Monday (3/16), but I was allowed to come into work on Tuesday, 3/17.
