Taking Robert to BYU!!!

For the first time ever, Mark flew with me to take one of our kids out to BYU.  This time Devon, Robert, Mark and I flew bright and early to SLC.  After landing and getting the rental SUV, we headed down to Provo.  We got Robert into his dorm.  While there we met a lot of the guys from his hall.  All of them are from different places:  Virginia, Texas, Idaho, Pennsylvania, etc.  They are all interested in sports - soccer, basketball and baseball.  It looks like Robert is in the perfect place.

We also got Devon checked into his apartment in the Lodges at Glenwood

... then we met Jessica and Tate back at the hotel before heading to Cafe' Rio for dinner.  Cafe Rio is a tradition!  That night Betsy usually goes shopping for the Dorm room/Apartment room things the kids need, but we went back to the hotel to relax in the hot tub and play games.

The next day, Betsy met Sandra Orr for breakfast.  That was a highlight and special treat to this trip.  It was so good to see her.  After Breakfast Betsy went to Walmart and Target to get the items needed for the boys' rooms.  Jessica came over and helped me decorate Robert's dorm room.  The room is perfect - BYU Blue!!!  I think Robert will really like it.

We also took advantage of Robert's BYU flag and got some pictures of Jessica holding it to celebrate her getting accepted to BYU Master's program!!! We are so proud of her and all that she is doing!!!

While we were there we got Hawaiian Shaved Ice - it was perfect because the day was very warm.

Devon, Jessica, Betsy and Mark - it was a shame Robert wasn't with us

Robert had orientation starting Thursday morning.  He's made great friends already.  He was busy almost every minute we were out at BYU.

Robert and Me!  Love this guy!  I'm sure going to miss him.
Thursday afternoon we went to the BYU Book store and got Robert's and Devon's books and ran into a good friend from Kentucky.
While at the BYU Book store we ran into Elder Chapel - he was a missionary in Kentucky
He and his brother play for BYU Baseball

Friday night we met up with Ali Hodge and her boyfriend, Chris and treated them to dinner at Panda Express.  It was so great to see them.  Robert was busy with his friends, so he didn't make dinner with us - bummer.
