Soccer game vs Highland canceled

What a crazy afternoon.  After Robert's senior photo appointment, I went to visit friends at the Rumble through the Jungle.  It's a tradition... I've volunteered at the Rumble through the Jungle for several years and can't believe those years are over.

Well, while I was there, Robert calls and is frantic that he accidentally left the soccer balls in the trunk of his car and accidentally went with dad in the van instead of his car.  NOT MY FAULT, however, he called to blame me for not reminding him... HUM!!!

Anyway, Mark and I rush to get to the game early so the team will have the balls, we arrive just before the buses.  We were able to deliver the balls to the bus, but ... at the exact same time the dark, gloomy thunderstorm that crept across the sky the whole drive up, decided to unleash it's powers.  Strong winds, rain, thunder and lightning.

It turns out we were at the wrong location, so we went to a different field and waited (the boys in the bus and us in our car).  When they cancelled the JV game, Mark and I decided to go get Robert food from Subway.  When we got back, the Varsity game was canceled.

We loaded Max, Ryan and Robert in the back of our car and took them back to Louisville.  We decided to get food at the Summit.  The boys enjoyed Five Guys, and Mark and I enjoyed Qdoba.  We all ate at Qdoba.  It was a fun time getting to know Max and Ryan better.

Ryan said he is going to church with Robert tomorrow... we will see.
