Holding Hannah

Sunday.  I have made friends with a sister in our ward named Brigetta Love.  She recently had twin girls (7 months ago).  Her husband is a dental student which requires him to be away from home much of the time at school or studying in the library or in labs.  They also have a 3 year old son named Charlie.  Well, Brigetta had complications while carrying the twins and within the last month has learned that one of her twins has a rare and serious condition (Infantile Myofibromatosis, a rare genetic disorder and she is part of an even rarer subtype within IM. The disorder causes benign tumors to grow all over her body spontaneously.... ).

Well, on my way back to Louisville I was thinking of her.  I had just found out that little Hannah was in the Kosair Children's hospital with aspiration pneumonia.  I decided to drive there instead of going home to offer support and assistance.

I ended up staying there taking care of sweet Hannah until 6:00 pm.  It was a wonderful 6 hours.  She was an angle.  I got to hold her, play with her, sing to her, and help her get back to sleep (several times).  She is so adorable.

I hope she heals soon and gets to go home.
