NOHS Boys Cross Country takes 1st Place at STATE (three peat)

It's a beautiful day in Lexington, KY for the State Championship of High school Cross Country.  The girls race was at 11:30 and the boys race was at 12:15 with awards following at 1:00 pm.

The boys didn't get off to a great start and really had to work hard to pick off runners advancing to the number 1 spot.  Luke Tarvestad was third for our team at the mile, but made it to 1st (where you'd expect to see him) at the 2 1/2 mile mark.  He finished 11th overall.  Even with the boys team not running Trenton Fryman (our #1 runner) they still took 1st place.

Congratulations to the team for taking first place at the State AA Cross Country Championship Meet!

It's the third year in a row, and Devon's third year being on the team!  We are so proud of all the boys that work hard to keep this team in such excellent condition!
