Devon rescues keys for a lady while on High Adventure

When Devon overheard that a lady had dropped her keys down the sewer he jumped into action offering to get them for her.  He had no idea that the sewer goes so DEEP.  The boys removed the sewer cover while Devon's leaders held his legs and lowered Devon into the sewer.

He was the hero of the day, retrieving the keys and bringing joy and happiness to the lady.  Now that is doing a good turn!

I'm so proud of Devon for not just walking past and not offering to help.  There would be nothing wrong with that in that we are each responsible for ourselves, but it is the kindness and the generosity of our teachings that lift us up to be better people!  It is in doing good for others that we are given an even greater joy!
